About the Founder
Hi, I’m Aalok, Co-founder of Agnaya.
My journey toward building Agnaya began during my academic years, while studying pharmacy. As I progressed in my education, I became increasingly aware of the growing prevalence of chronic conditions linked to long-term chemical exposure- skin sensitivities, allergies, inflammation, hormonal disruption, and, in more serious cases, cancers and autoimmune disorders.
What struck me most was how casually we accept this exposure in our daily lives- especially through products we apply directly to our skin and hair. Products meant for care often rely on aggressive synthetics, creating dependence rather than resilience.
That realisation stayed with me.
I began questioning the standards we had normalised in beauty and personal care. Why should effectiveness come at the cost of long-term health? Why should luxury rely on ingredients we wouldn’t feel comfortable using every day, for years?
Agnaya was born from that inquiry.
