Hi, I’m Aalok, Co-founder of Agnaya.

My journey toward building Agnaya began during my academic years, while studying pharmacy. As I progressed in my education, I became increasingly aware of the growing prevalence of chronic conditions linked to long-term chemical exposure; skin sensitivities, allergies, inflammation, hormonal disruption, and, in more serious cases, cancers and autoimmune disorders.

What struck me most was how casually we accept this exposure in our daily lives, especially through products we apply directly to our skin and hair. Products meant for care often rely on aggressive synthetics, creating dependence rather than resilience.

That realisation stayed with me.

I began questioning the standards we had normalised in beauty and personal care. Why should effectiveness come at the cost of long-term health? Why should luxury rely on ingredients we wouldn’t feel comfortable using every day, for years?

Agnaya was born from that inquiry.

Today, we are deeply committed to creating haircare and skincare that are clean, ethical, and genuinely high-performing. We exclude petrochemicals and unnecessary synthetics, and work only with ingredients that meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and integrity.
